The first album by the duo Aguirre-Rocco published in Europe combines two musical stylistic genres deeply rooted in Argentinian culture - the European classic and the tango. The musicians are the pianist and composer Pablo Aguirre and the transverse flute player Luis Rocco.
The Tango-Sonate evolved in 2001 in a time of political crisis in Argentinian and a brusque change in the life of Pablo Aguirre. While searching for a new musical identity, a valuable contribution for modern chamber music developed, a real novelty in the tradition of the classical sonata.
The tango by Astor Piazzolla (Tango Neuvo) also also influenced the Tango-Sonate - in this case in a chamber music interpretation.Duo Aguirre-Rocco: Sonata Tanguera
