See Cuba through the lens of a camera. There is a lot more to discover than vintage Chevrolets, crumbling buildings and recently renovated palaces.

The Italian photographer Susanna Rescio gives an introduction to the handling of a reflex camera. There is hardly a more beautiful place for this course than Havana and the old villa in the part of Havana called Vedado!

The villa of the participants is only a few steps away from the Malecon promenade. The theoretical part of class is taught Mondays to Fridays at the villa.

The theoretical part of the project is devided into two main topics:

1. Basic technical knowledge
Starting from the technical and functional structure of the reflex camera, the class deals with the differences between the human eye and the camera lens. Aperture, time shutter, depth of field are further components of the camera handling.

2. Elements of picture composition
The photographer's creative skills make the picture come alive. It is important to learn how to compose a picture, to decide whether something is photogenic or not and to deal with colour theory.

In a relaxed way, all this will be subject of the theoretical part of class and of the extensive photo excursions accross the capital.

We make non-binding suggestions for the evening programme. People interested can then join each other and go out at night.

You will have many opportunities to go to the beach on the weekends or during an additional week on the beach. You will get valuable advice on the most beautiful beaches around Havana.

By the way: Don't forget your reflex camera!

Journey to Cuba: Individual and not included in the price

We will confirm your application by e-mail. You will then receive a written confirmation of your booking/ invoice by mail or pdf document attachment. Differently from our general terms, you will pay a deposit of 400 Euro per person when booking this group journey. In the case of a cancellation up to 22 days before setting out on the journey, we will refund 300 Euro if you can provide a substitute traveller. Please read our general terms for cancellations starting from the 21st day before setting out on the journey. Please transfer the remaining amount of the tour price at the latest 30 days before starting the journey. We can also charge your credit card account with the corresponding payment values.
You can take out a travel cancellation insurance policy or other travel insurance policies up to 14 days after having received your booking confirmation. This is easily done by internet, you only have to click here. (Information in German language.)

If you combine the course with an additional course of Spanish, Salsa or Percussion, you will only be charged an extra price of 249.- Euro per course!
