Introduction Holidays for Seniors
Our travel offers can be individually arranged for travellers with high demands in the second half of their lives, for people
who enjoy life and who are open to the world. Many people can only allow themselves to dive into foreign cultures as
soon as their lives are not dominated anymore by their everyday working rountine. Afterwards, they are free to get to
know everything that couldn’t find any space before. We concentrate on individual cultural journeys, but we can
also organize travel programmes for groups. Other points of interest are language courses, round trips, and also
music, dance and rhythm. We were really surprised about the enthusiasm concerning our offers of the growing
number of senior travellers aged between 50 and 80 years who have travelled with us during the recent years.
We believe that you would like to travel independently, thus we only make proposals for the planning and
preparation of your journey when you wish us to do so. The planning phase and the preparation phase are
important parts of our work and they need quite a bit of space. You will find more information on our consulting
when you click
Consultation
(words that are written in red indicate pages with more detailed information.)
Our exemplary travel programme wants to give you a first impression and it is designed for a period of three weeks. Of course, we can also plan shorter or longer journeys for you. All the contents of the journey can be varied according to your personal preferences. If you, for example, prefer a different hotel than the one indicated, there is no problem to change.
In the recents years, more and more people between 50 and 75 used our consulting service and more and more senior people travelled with us. It became quite evident that there is not only interest in round trips and cultural events, but there is also a demand for high quality dance courses and offers for active holidays. We offer the necessary infrastructure and we enjoy to advise open-mided senior people who enjoy travelling.

Holidays for Seniors Tango in Buenos Aires |
|
 |
We do not intend to talk a lot about Argentina. Any good guidebook can do that. We have tried for years now to find good and reliable partners in Buenos Aires. We can assure you that the people who will look after you in Argentina fully meet our requirements and that we enjoy working with them. The staff of our partner agency also has enough phantasy to fulfil more eccentric whishes. The experience so far proved: It works. No matter if you are interested in domestic flights or if you need help finding rare tickets for the opera - our guests receive an excellent service!
If you have had a look at our Argentina pages already, you might have realized that our offers are manifold and diverse. This special offer for you does even outclass the given programmes. The travel example starts from the assumption that you arrive in Buenos Aires on a Saturday. Of course, you can also arrive any other day. Then, the individual parts of the programme have to be displaced correspondingly. Your holidays in Argentina could look like this:
1st day (Saturday)
Arrival at the International Airport Ezeiza in Buenos Aires. Transfer to ****Hotel Broadway All Suites, located at the Avenida Corrientes only a few metres away from the obelisk. The hotel was built in Art Deco style. The rooms facing the street are equipped with thermo-acoustic window panes. All suites have air-conditioning (warm/cold), a bathtub, cable TV, hi-fi equipment, telephone, safe, microwave and refrigerator.
2nd day (Sunday)
Time for strolling around and for acclimatization
3rd day (Monday)
In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel for a normal sightseeing tour. We always try to engage companies that work with dedicated tour guides. You will get to know your surroundings and you will get an impression of what the following days might bring. Our intention is to give you a first insight, so that you can visit special places again on your own or with an individual guide at your own pace .
At 6pm there are tango classes in a small group. Don’t be afraid, even if you have never danced Tango in your life before. You will meet sensible teachers who will teach you according to your level. You will receive a voucher for 10 hours of Tango classes, classes take place from 6pm-9pm. You can dance as much or as little as you like and you can participate in the classes as you wish.
4th day (Tuesday)
You will meet an employee of our partner agency. Now you can ask all your questions about Buenos Aires and Argentina. The rest of the day is at your free disposal. Tango classes again at 6pm.
5th day (Wedenesday)
Your personal guide will pick you up in the morning, and he will show you around Buenos Aires on a 4-hour-walk according to your wishes and ideas. Our guides speak English. If requested, we can also organise a guide who speaks other languages (in case we find one...). Again, tango at 6pm.
6th day (Thursday)
At your free disposal. Tango in the evening
7th day (Friday)
Again, you will have a personal guide, this time with a car and a driver. This is your opportunity to visit locations of cultural interest that are difficult to reach on foot. After the tour of 4 hours, you can discover Buenos Aires on your own. Tango in the evening.
8th day (Saturday)
After having spent a week in Buenos Aires, it is about time to have a look at nature. There is a 500 km river delta close to Buenos Aires where several rivers merge to the Río de la Plata. Here, the streets are thousands of smaller or bigger rivers. The houses in this area can only be reached by boat. People take their children to the playgrounds by boat and even the pizza service uses a motor boat for delivery. Starting point for all the excursions to that area is the harbour of Tigre, a town located close to Buenos Aires. A trip to the Delta belongs to the obligatory touristic offers.
But we also had a close look that time and we chose a tour which takes all day and which does not only include a train trip along the coast and a boat ride, but also a small walk. In that way, you will be able to get to know flora and fauna of the Delta islands a little bit. You will enjoy this excursion because of the contrast it offers to the big city!
9th day (Sunday)
Relax. Or visit the market of San Telmo that takes place every Sunday! It’s worth going! In the evening, you can watch other people dancing Tango. There are plenty of Tango shows in Buenos Aires. You can watch a new show every night. Still, it is difficult to find a show that is less turgid and more authentic. We chose the show in "El Querandi". Enjoy to be a spectator for one evening. Drinks and transfers are included in the price.
10th - 14th day (Monday to Friday)
Days at your free disposal. The first week will give you so many ideas about the cultural diversity of the city, that we want to leave it up to you what you would like to discover now. At 6pm you can attend the Tango classes. On Friday, a Tango concert awaits you as part of a Milonga, a typical Argentinian dance event.
15th day (Saturday)
Transport to the domestic airport, because the third week is reserved for the Argentinian countryside. Flight from Buenos Aires to Salta and transfer to the hotel. Time to visit the town. Salta is situated 1600km northeast of Buenos Aires at a height of 1200m above sea level.
Argentinians consider Salta one of the most beautiful cities of their country, because it conserved its colonial character like almost no other city. Salta is located in a fertile valley, surrounded by an impressive mountain scenery. Take the funicular to Carro San Bernardo und have a good look around!
16th day (Sunday)
All-day excursion to the small town Cafayate, situated in the valley of Lerma. Visit to an archeaological museum, to the Cathedral and to a wine cellar. This region produces top quality Argentinian wines.
17th day (Monday)
All-day excursion to Cachi, located at the mountain of the same name which is 6384 metres high and covered with snow. The journey takes you through the national park Los Cardones with its bizarre rock formations.
18th day (Tuesday)
Change of place and hotel. The next stop is Purmamarca, a small town, situated at the base of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, the mountain of seven colours.
19th day (Wednesday)
Day at your free disposal in Purmamarca. There are optional excursions that can be booked on site if requested.
20th day (Thursday)
Part of the programme is a small visit to the province capital San Salvador de Jujuy on the way to the airport.
Return flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the Hotel Broadway All Suites.
21st day (Friday)
Do whatever you wish to do in Buenos Aires .
22nd day (Saturday)
Transfer to the international airport and return flight home or to other destinations.

altered if you wish. The price for the journey described is in low season for two persons travelling together
